Herb supplements cleared - Tanczos23 December 2002Herbal energy supplements "Frenzy" and "Exodus" sold by Green Party MP Nandor Tanczos' Hempstore in Auckland have been cleared of safety concerns, Mr Tanczos says. He has called for an apology from National leader Bill English and ACT NZ leader Richard Prebble, who he says whipped themselves into a lather over the supplements in September. Mr Tanczos said Parliament's health select committee chairperson advised him on Friday that an expert advisory committee on drugs had investigated ACT's concerns about the supplements, after it called for an urgent inquiry. In light of that review - yet to be made public by the select committee - it would take no further action, he said. »PRINTABLE VERSION »SUBSCRIBE TO FREE HEADLINES »SUBSCRIBE TO INL ARCHIVES ![]() |
